My Awards

2015 BCWBS Junior Athlete of The Year

In 2015, following the Canada Games, I was named Junior Athlete of the Year by the BC Wheelchair Basketball. After all the work I put in to achieve making the Canada Games, this award was some very fulfilling icing on the cake after an unforgettable basketball season.

2018 Petro Canada F.A.C.E. Grant

In 2018, I received a F.A.C.E. grant from Petro-Canada. This grant gave money to me as well as my coach to help fuel our success in achieving our goals.  It was exciting to be nominated for the award, as nomination is given by the National Sport Organization. This meant that Wheelchair Rugby Canada saw potential in me. To receive the award Petro-Canada and CBC flew me out to Toronto, where I enjoyed an awesome weekend. I was given the opportunity to meet the other recipients, who are all high level athletes and some will  future Olympians Paralympians. We were given Media training, interviews and were given the opportunity to interact with the C.B.C's Scott Russell throughout the weekend. At the banquet, we were treated to a keynote speech by the Legendary Olympic swimmer Mark Tewksbury. All in all, it was an amazing and unforgettable weekend
